What is included when I register for an Apple Group training?
When you sign up for an Apple Group training, you’ll receive all necessary course materials, expert-led instruction, and ongoing support beyond the training itself. You’ll also gain access to a private Facebook group exclusively for Connections-trained educators—a collaborative space where participants share tips, ask questions, and support one another. Plus, you'll have continued access to Apple Group experts for guidance as you implement what you've learned.

What kind of post-training support does The Apple Group offer?
The Apple Group is committed to supporting educators long after their initial training. Trainees are welcome to audit any previously completed course at no additional cost, providing a valuable opportunity to refresh and deepen their understanding. Graduates also gain access to a private Facebook group exclusively for Connections-trained educators—a space for sharing ideas, asking questions, and exchanging classroom strategies. In addition, we maintain an open-door policy, encouraging participants to reach out by phone or email for ongoing guidance. For those who prefer live support, we also host regular Q&A Zoom sessions where educators can connect directly with experts and peers.

What exactly does a Connections: OGin3D lesson look like?
A Connections: OG in 3D lesson is hands-on, structured, and deeply rooted in the Science of Reading. Each lesson includes objects for core phonemic awareness and sound instruction, making abstract concepts concrete and memorable. You'll also find flashcards, explicit drill work, and student handouts to reinforce learning. Every lesson is paired with coordinated passages or texts, fluency practice sheets, and personalized decodable readers, ensuring students apply skills in meaningful contexts. In addition, the program offers aligned fiction and nonfiction resources to deepen comprehension and engagement. All lessons follow a clearly outlined scope and sequence, making instruction consistent, cumulative, and easy to implement.

Do I get a certificate for completing trainings through The Apple Group?
Yes! Every training through The Apple Group includes a certificate of completion. For those who continue through the full two-year dyslexia therapy program, additional certificates are awarded along the way. Graduates of the full program also become eligible for professional certifications, including Certified Dyslexia Therapist (CDT) and Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist (SLDS) designations, recognizing their advanced training and expertise.

After completing Connections: OGin3D what exactly will I be able to teach?
After completing Connections training, you'll be fully equipped to deliver comprehensive reading instruction across a variety of settings. Connections can be used as a core curriculum for K–2 classrooms, as supplemental instruction for students in grades K–5, and as a powerful tool for reading or dyslexia intervention for students K–12. Grounded in the Science of Reading, the program uses 3D, multisensory materials to make concepts stick and provides a complete, explicit approach to teaching the structure of the English language.
